Doula and New Mummy Again.

As predicted the end of October changed our lives amazingly. Our little girl arrived in fine style in our own living room surrounded by love and welcomed peacefully.

 And so my doula career came a full circle; the seed sown at my first birth, the idea developed at my second birth and put into action through the baby I never got to birth, confirmed as the perfect vocation for me by the birth of my final baby. I loved giving birth this time, everything I have learned through my doula training and experience was confirmed and useful to me and having such a lovely positive birth and the support of a lovely doula of my own helped me to really appreciate all that I am able to bring to other families as they go through their own births. I’m loving mothering a very small person again and all of the lovely new firsts as well as the familiar patterns.

But I will be back to doula work as soon as we are both ready and I’m looking forward to it more than ever.
